Metal welding is a very strong, quick process used in metal fabrication. In addition to strength, welding also allows us to have great control of quality and appearance. The processes available in our shop can be applied to a wide range of materials, complexities and sizes. Welding enables us to create functional prototypes that work like a final production product.
Welding takes place by melting two metals of the same material together. A filler material is often added to the joint to form a pool of molten metal that forms a strong bond between two pieces of material. We utilize diverse welding processes including GTAW (also known as TIG), MIG (also known as SMAW), resistance welding and spot welding. These processes use electric arc welding, heat and pressure to create the bond. Different types of metals can be used, giving us the flexibility to develop the design, and try alternative materials.
